Terms of Service

Last updated: July 13, 2026

1. Who we are, and what you're agreeing to

SaferPing is operated by Country Roads Technology LLC (“Country Roads”, “we”, “us”), a Pennsylvania limited liability company. By creating an account, purchasing or claiming a tag, or sending a message through the service, you agree to these terms.

2. The service

SaferPing sells physical QR/NFC tags and operates an anonymous message relay: someone who finds your tag can send you a message about your vehicle without either of you learning the other's identity. We relay messages; we are not a party to your conversations.

SaferPing is not an emergency service, roadside assistance, or insurance, and is not a replacement for 911. If someone is in danger, call 911.

Every conversation opens with the same safety note, shown to both sides: “Stay safe: never share personal, payment, or account details. Beware of scams. If you choose to meet, meet in a public place. SaferPing is not an emergency service. If someone is in danger, call 911.”

We do not guarantee that any message is delivered, read, or answered. A tag owner may decline, ignore, or end any conversation, and our abuse-prevention systems may limit or decline to deliver messages without notice to the sender.

3. Accounts

You need an account with a verified email address to claim and manage tags. Keep your credentials secure and your email current: your verified email is how we confirm tag ownership and how we reach you about your account. You are responsible for activity under your account.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Payments are processed by Stripe; we never store your card number. Plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period.

When a subscription lapses, your tags stop relaying messages. They remain yours and reactivate when the subscription does. Founding-beta price locks are honored as described on the pricing page at the time of purchase.

If something is wrong with your order or your tags, contact us. We are a small company and we will be reasonable.

5. Tags

Tags are physical products. Claiming a tag requires proof of purchase, verified on our side. Attach tags only to vehicles you own or control with the owner's permission. If you sell or give away a claimed tag, retire it from your account first.

6. Acceptable use

SaferPing exists to protect people from unwanted contact, and its rules are written from that direction. You may not use the service to:

  • stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or monitor any person;
  • attempt to discover the identity, phone number, location, or any personal detail of the person on the other side of a conversation;
  • send abusive, deceptive, or unlawful messages, or use the relay for commercial solicitation;
  • file false reports, or scan tags in bulk to harvest or probe them;
  • interfere with rate limits, verification, or any other safety mechanism.

We may suspend accounts, block participants, and decline to deliver messages to enforce this section, and we may do so silently. Where the law requires or permits, we cooperate with law enforcement.

7. Privacy

How we handle data, and what we deliberately never collect or reveal, is described in the Privacy Policy at saferping.com/privacy. It is part of these terms.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any message will be delivered or answered.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Country Roads is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; where that is the case, the above applies to the fullest extent permitted.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for violating these terms, with or without notice depending on severity. You may close your account at any time by contacting support. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including acceptable use, disclaimers, and liability limits) survive.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes we will notify you by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

12. Contact
